Beta LaserMike launches new MID certification device

Beta LaserMike, a global manufacturer of precision measurement and control systems, announces the launch of an MID (Measuring Instrument Directive of the European Community) certification device for its LaserSpeed gauges.

The MID LaserSpeed non-contact length and speed measurement system uses a technology called Laser Doppler Velocimetry to accurately measure the length and speed of any moving product or surface to an accuracy of +/- 0.125 percent or better, the company says. The system also allows for zero measurements as well as reverse speed. The company says that coupled with a DataPro controller, the system delivers the accuracy, reliability and MID certification required throughout Europe.
